What Kind of Pigment is Utilized for the Brow Service?

Hybrid Brow Tattoo Pigment. It's a combination of Organic & Inorganic Pigments. The Hybrid Pigment will last anywhere from 1-3 years. Aftercare, Lifestyle, skin type will impact the longevity and vibrancy. Different Pigments offer choice of longevity of the Brow Tattoo. The Pigment being used by the Artist will determine the longevity of the Tattoo as well.

How Permanent is the Realistic/Feather Nano Brow Tattoo?

It is a Permanent procedure, that fades over time. No mater how faded the pigment gets, there is residual pigment embedded in the skin. Over time, exposure to sunlight, skin care products, facial treatments, lifestyle will lighten the pigments. Our bodies will also break down the pigments as well. Essentially, Its like coloring your hair, you will need to have a color boost/touch ups. Ensure you are making an informed decision. This permanent makeup procedure requires maintenance. In some instances, be prepared to have laser removal.

What is the difference between Realistic/Feather Brow VS Microblading?

Realistic Nano Brows : Utilizes a Pen style tattoo machine, where a motor is used to drive the power of the machine and the fine nano needle. It deposits pigment into the epidermis with a series of tiny dots, light scratching, creating a softer effect. This technique is less invasive and causes less trauma to the skin.

Microblading : Uses a manual tool with a blade-shaped tip containing multiple tiny needles. The Tool creates individual hair-like strokes by making cuts in the skin and depositing pigment.

Is the Procedure Painful?

It's often described as a mild scratching or pinching sensation. Individual pain tolerance varies significantly. A consultation is highly suggested at Cosmopolitan Brows where the needle can be demonstrated on the client. Those with sensitive skin may experience more discomfort. It's normal to experience increased sensitivity before/during menstruation.

How Often should I touch up the color?

Depends on your personal preference. Yearly touch ups offer more color vibrancy, kind of like hair coloring. This gives the client a chance to update the shape if desired as well.

How do I know the Equipment is Clean and Sterile?

Our needles are sealed and packaged and opened right before starting the procedure. They are strictly one time use and then safely discarded. Our trays, beds, and other instruments are sterilized before and after every procedure.

Why do some Brows colors look off?

It's natural for the body to start breaking down molecules that don't belong. Over time, our body metabolizes the pigments, causing the pigment to fade (Fading/Oxidation) As we age, our skin tone can change, which can affect how brow colors look on us. It's important to adjust your brow color accordingly (Skin Tone Changes). Lifestyle, Sun Exposure, chemical exfoliants, certain facial treatments, whitening products, Retinol type of products all contribute to longevity of the pigment. The Pigment may also be implanted too deep. In some instances, the incorrect pigment is selected. Some clients opt to not have the necessary maintenance required. Proper skin tone assessment and thorough knowledge of each brands pigments plays a major role in results as well. As technology keeps advancing, New pigment formulations offer stability and consistency in the skin.

What if I am allergic to the pigment?

If you suspect that you may be allergic, please send an email to info@cosmopolitanbrows.com to request the ingredient list. We can provide ease of mind by performing a patch test as well.

Do you provide Numbing Cream for the Pain?

The technique utilized is like a needle scratching the surface of the skin. During this first pass of the procedure, a numbing agent is not utilized. A Numbing Agent is provided for the second pass of the procedure. Some clients barely feel much during the first pass, it all depends on the sensitivity level. If you are allergic to Lidocaine, Epinephrine, Tetracaine or Benzocaine please inform us on the assessment form.

Who is Not a Suitable Candidate for Brow Tattoo?

Getting an eyebrow tattoo can enhance your appearance, but certain contraindications must be considered before proceeding.

Individuals with certain skin conditions, such as eczema or psoriasis, dermatitis, rosacea, should avoid this procedure, as it could exacerbate their symptoms.

Pregnant or breastfeeding women are also advised against getting eyebrow tattoos, as hormonal changes can affect the healing process.

Anticoagulants - It's not recommended to get a tattoo while taking an anticoagulant because it can lead to severe bruising and infection.

Acne medications- Using isotretinoin (Accutane) or other acne medications within the past year can affect the skin's healing and interfere with the results.

Diabetes - People with diabetes are generally not recommended to get tattoos because it can affect the immune system and healing process.

Keloids - The needles used to create a tattoo injure the skin, which can trigger the formation of keloids. Keloids caused by tattoos are difficult to treat.

Thyroid condition - Some thyroid medications can cause cosmetic tattoos to appear ashier after healing. You may need more frequent color boosts to compensate.

If you have or experience Skin irritation (sunburn, rash, eczema, shingles, active acne or psoriasis near the treated area) often.

If you are undergoing chemotherapy or radiation

If you have any viral infections or diseases.

If you have any type of transmittable blood disease, HIV or Hepatitis.

If you are allergic to tattoo pigments. we are happy to perform a patch test 7 days prior to a service.
